Elle Decor: Celebrity Bedrooms

    Last night while browsing Elle Decor, I stumbled on their celebrity bedrooms post and instantly fell in love with the gorgeous images. My mom has always told me it's better to save and get what you want than to waste money on a purchase you'll later regret. After 20+ years of hearing this speech, it's finally sunk in. I'm fortunate to have found antiques (I'll never grow tired of) at street fairs, bargain antique shops and estate sales. I'm still looking for the perfect bedside lamp, chandelier and rug but until I find the one I know I cannot live without, I'll do just fine!

Where do you find inspiration? Where are your favorite places to shop?

 

This just happens to be Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick's Bridgehampton master bedroom. Those who know me know I'm loving the crisp white walls (my absolute favorite) with the orange and turquoise accent pieces. I don't know about you but I adored Meg Ryan's quaint abode in You've Got Mail. Her master bedroom in Martha's Vineyard reminds me so much of the cozy space featured in one of her best movies! Loving the white walls and purple accents!

I have been on the hunt for the perfect Kelly Wearstler inspired curtains for as long as I can remember. Those of you who've followed my blog for a while know I've mentioned time and time again how much I'd love to own a set of chevron print curtains, but have had no luck finding any. A few nights ago I made the attempt to search etsy to see if I could find anything in this motif. Little did I know a gorgeous shop by the name of Nena Von has been hiding from me for the last 2.5 years! She carries black and white chevron print curtains, trellis print curtains and absolutely gorgeous pillows I might add, and the best part on a budget!

Vintage Decor: Louis Vuitton

    1st Dibs has quickly become my favorite place to spend time salivating over items I will one day purchase for my impending mansion. While browsing the Vuitton collection, I decided that not only do I need a Louis Vuitton bag but a trunk to go along with it to furnish my bedroom. I could use it as a night stand, or a bed for Francesca my precious puppy. Well, since I'm under budget and Freddy is still in his I have to chew everything in sight stage, I will continue to drool and wait for the day that my future home will be filled with happiness and a Louis or two or three!
