I used to take for granted the beauty around me until I purchased a camera. Thanks to my favorite purchase, I now know which season various flowers bloom, and for how long. The sweet peas have now seeded, and the roses are getting ready to bloom a second time, but the dahlias are flourishing. They most certainly love the raised flower beds they call home. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I took these photos ast week in my mom's one of many flower gardens!
I think these are my new favorites. They're called Pompom dahlias, and are the most vibrant purple you have ever seen. If I didn't enjoy being in the outdoors as much as I do, I'd cut them and place them in a bouquet. I guess my late Grandfather is rubbing off on me ;)
Various White and red dahlias. The large ones are called "Dinner plate Dahlias."
While I don't know the particular variety, this has to be one of my favorite photos I have ever taken. It's an orange and yellow variegated dahlia.
I just love this white dahlia!
