I didn't know which flower I was going to post today, until I went to visit dear, sweet Cindy @ Quaint Handmade's blog. Her Mother-in-law passed away over the weekend, and it seems that lilacs were her (Helen's) favorite. In memory of Helen who I feel I have gotten to know through Cindy's beautiful posts....here are some lilacs from my mom's garden. The world needs more Charlie and Helen's. Oh and Scott and Cindy's. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, Cindy. Thinking of you, and sending my best. xoxo Candi

House Beautiful

Oh how I want this beautiful vintage buffet. It's black, gold which just happen to be two of my favorite colors. I swear no matter where I go, I am always drawn to pieces in this color combo. I claim that turquoise and purple are my favorite colors, but if you look in my closet, my handbags, shoes, etc...everything is black and gold. Oh and that pink chair, doesn't that just look gorgeous right next to it? I love the white matted frames on the wall. The color on the walls looks fairly light, I'm not sure if it's a light blue or white? All I know is I want this room. Love, love, love it!!!

In Bloom- Day 2

Now that I am more into photography than I was at this time last year, I am noticing all the beauty and uniqueness that is around me. Have you ever seen a brown rose before? I hadn't up until this week. Unfortunately the color isn't as true as it is in "real life" as it is just unbelievable. For those who are interested, the rose is called "Teddy Bear."

This is a cloud I saw on my way home the other day. It's an actual photo, I didn't alter it except for rotating it. I have never seen anything like it before! I love my photos, but there are a select few that mean more to me, and this is one of them! I hope you have a wonderful day. I'm sitting here praying my grandma's doctors appointment goes well! Earth Day EVERY DAY!

I have yet to formally introduce my photo card line. I thought today would be a perfect day, since I firmly believe in going GREEN. All photos are posted on 100% recycled paper, and are absolutely gorgeous. The envelopes are 100% recycled paper as well. Cards are updated daily!

What is your most challenging goal right now? Grammy feeling better. You'll laugh- her biggest competitor, my grandpa's cousin came over last night to see her. Gma and her always compete, and my mom asked grandma if she'd like her walker. Grandma gave my mom a nasty look, and said walker...I don't use a walker! lol

What do you think about the person who tagged you? She's one of my favorite people...even if she lives 2,000 miles away!

If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be? I love Pebble Beach...but my hair would be a frizzy mess there. Honestly, I love where I live. I would seriously buy acreage across the street, build myself a house, pay my mom's house off, buy my brother a house, and our close friends would live nearby. I have really grown to love my rural town. 

Favorite vacation spot? Lake Tahoe!

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go? Good question. I'm perfectly relaxed listening to my Lucy goosie snore, and Tom Petty is on itunes. Call me lazy, but I don't want to get up! haha

Which language do you want to learn? Japanese? I already speak spanish. New ? What language (other than english) do you speak?

What did you dream of last night? This is weird...it'll be a year on Thursday my aunt unexpectedly passed away, and I must have dreamt of her...because I had this song in my head when I woke up. The tears were flowing, and I feel so much better.

Who do you want to meet in person? new question: Who would you want to see in person right now? 
Honestly, other than my loved ones in heaven...I see who I want to see on earth :) I want to see my mama, she had a rough morning and give her a hug!

What's your favorite part about the city you live in? City? haha We have a grocery store, and one stop light....that's enough for me ;)

What's the favorite piece of clothing in your own closet? My True Religion jeans. Thank goodness I have a fast metabolism, I've been wearing the same jeans for years!

What is your dream job? Well, my main dream is to be a reporter/anchor. But I never thought photography would ever be my dream, if so I would have paid more attention in my Media Aesthetics class. I love photography, and it just goes to show you that everything happens for a reason. When an opportunity falls into your lap and you enjoy it....take it and run with it!

If you had $150.00 now what would you spend it on? Save it! I have something BIG coming up this summer :)

Fashion pet peeve? Cleavage. Call me old fashioned but Jackie Kennedy never showed cleavage.

Front Page!!!!!

Those of you who read this post know I was very excited to find out I had been featured on the front page in January. My shop opened on December 29, 2008 and I never expected it to be featured that early on. While I was ecstatic to know I had been featured, I really wished I could have seen it. The last couple of days I was a little bummed to not be in any treasuries. Other than outside the etsy world I had not been getting much "etsy love." I found out through Craftopolis that I was an alternate in two, but nothing more. It's funny, when I clicked onto etsy last night, I noticed this really cute stationery and was thinking-once my new blog starts getting views like my previous one, I would like to feature their shop.I hadn't intended on scrolling all the way down the page, I really don't know why I did...but I had the biggest shock when I saw my Daffodil print being featured! If you're a seller on etsy, you know how HUGE this is. It really couldn't have come at a better time either with my grandmother ill again, it's been a pretty hectic week. Sometimes you just need that little "boost" to get you going and motivated again, and well, folks I think I found mine.

Oh and by the way, never underestimate being an ALTERNATE in life, it just might be exactly what you need!
