Thank you very much for your kind words and encouragement, my first show went well. I received wonderful compliments, and managed to make some sales.
Here are a few photos of "The Antique Gardener" in Sutter Creek! If you ever get a chance to visit this historic small town, you must! There's so much to do, fun boutiques, great restaurants, and nearby vineyards/wineries.
For those of you I have yet to harass on twitter with a zillion questions, I'd like to share the good news...I am doing my first show this Saturday (tomorrow.)There are so many decisions to make-
Nonetheless I am ecstatic. I know that each show will get easier, and bring out the best in me. For the last week it has felt REAL. I no longer feel like the girl who occasionally gets a sale on Etsy, but somebody who is actually going into business for herself. Not to quote myself, because it seems like this is all I have been saying lately, but
I stumbled on Yoshi Makino's album a few months ago, and I am so glad I did. His work is a constant source of inspiration. I wish this was my bedroom. I would stare in amazement at those fab green chairs, and lovely wallpaper on a daily basis. Makino has photographed many A-listers including Kevin Bacon, Lauren Conrad, and Nicole Richie.
I don't know what it is lately, but I am completely drawn to clean, crisp white walls, with bold accent pieces. There's something so calming, and serene about a blank canvas, which can be changed whenever I get the urge to. I guess it's the gemini in me, unless I am absolutely in love with something- I feel the need to alter it over and over.
The sun is shining, and I am getting spring fever! I am thinking about the tan I wish I had, and that the sun wasn't so deceiving, it's still a bit chilly.
I'm lusting over.........
